WHO WE ARE

The Église Pentecôtiste de Consolation de Québec came into being on January 19, 2018. Planted in the heart of beautiful Quebec City by Pastor Shimirimana, this church began in a prayer room with members of his family; his wife Patricia and their children. Then, a few families started coming.

In 2017, after receiving a call from God from Alberta in the city of Edmonton, while serving in a local church as assistant pastor at Goshen Christian Assembly (PAOC), Paschal decided to obey and leave comfort to return to Quebec. Genesis 12:1-2 The Lord said to Abram, "Go from your country, your homeland, and your father's house, to the land I will show you. 2 I will make you a great nation, and bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.

Paschal arrives in Quebec City with the promise that God will restore broken hearts and
will comfort his children who will return to his house. Isaiah 40:1


It was in 2018 that the church was planted with a vision of founding one family of God, a place to welcome all nations in a small space in the center of Horizon Limoilou. After the first wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, a new, larger location had to be found. The church moved to the Beauport area. Despite the storms throughout the move, the promise made by Jesus Christ Himself, who is the head of the Church and builds His church, Matthew 16:18 - "And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it" - Paschal affirms that he is a witness to this statement. He says he has seen how Jesus Christ builds and protects his church, which is his own family.

Consolation Church has remained standing, despite the storms that
shook

Consolation will continue to shine and triumph under the anointing of the Holy Spirit
to be a source of blessing in a fallen world, until the return of Christ.
Working alone or running an independent ministry is not in Paschal's DNA.
Throughout the implantation, he remains hopeful that one day the door will open to enter
the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada family. It was in 2022 that this Church was
accepted for affiliation with the PAOC, a large family of Pentecostals in Canada.
Academic opening to pursue IBQ theology courses in partnership with
Laval University while remaining active in the department is an asset. It is possible to
balancing ministry and studies. Today, Consolation Church has a dedicated team
made up of men and women working together to further the mission
and contribute to our society.

The great desire is to form a new generation of disciples, leaders and servants by
the following means:

● Continuing to grow the consolation family physically and spiritually.
● Building a space that welcomes and nurtures growth.
● Creating a church that transforms lives in our society and beyond.
● Train and send out a new generation of Christian servant leaders.
● Continuing to make history for the consolation family in a variety of ways
nations.
